RUYUNG
RUYUNG is the brainchild of Khai and Faizal, a couple who want to make art that reflect them as Singaporeans, Malays and Muslims. These three facets play a very big part in how they see the world and how the world seems to see them.
RUYUNG aims to create honest and critical works that reflects the Singaporean-Malay-Muslim identity and experience in a global and international landscape.

Faizal
Khai is a producer, programme manager for performing arts and a theatre maker from Singapore. She graduated from LaSalle College of the Arts, majoring in Theatre Arts, and is currently pursuing an MA in Creative Producing at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London.
Khai have produced works that are urgent, contemporary and committed to the minority voice. She is currently working for :

Faizal Abdullah is a Singaporean Muslim-Malay actor and theatre-maker. He graduated from Lasalle College of the Arts (Singapore) with a Diploma in Theatre Arts and had his first professional theatre credit acting in playwright-director Elangovan’s 1915.
Since then he has worked with many of Singapore’s leading theatre companies, including Act3 Theatrics, I Theatre, TheatreWorks, Cake Theatrical Productions, Teater Ekamatra, STAGES and The Necessary Stage. Faizal is currently pursuing an MA in Performance Making at Goldsmiths, University of London.
